Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the schedule for a tri-nation One Day International (ODI) series involving Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa. The series is set to take place from February 8 to February 14, 2025, and will serve as preparation for the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy.
According to a statement by the International Cricket Council, the series will be conducted on a single-league basis, with matches scheduled at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and Karachi’s National Bank Stadium. The opening match will see Pakistan face New Zealand under the lights at Gaddafi Stadium on February 8. South Africa will play their first match against New Zealand on February 10 in Lahore.
The series presents an opportunity for the participating teams to refine their strategies ahead of the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy, which starts on February 19. Pakistan enters the series on the back of a successful 3-0 whitewash against South Africa in December, while New Zealand recently secured a 2-1 victory over Sri Lanka.
In addition to offering competitive match practice, the series will allow the PCB to showcase its upgraded cricket venues to an international audience. The final match of the series is scheduled for February 14 at the National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
