Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed the schedule for a three-match T20I series against Australia, set to take place at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium on January 29, 31, and February 1. The series will provide key preparation for both teams ahead of the ICC Men's T20I World Cup 2026.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Australia's squad is expected to arrive in Lahore on January 28. The matches are scheduled to commence at 6 p.m. Pakistan Standard Time, following a coin toss at 5:30 p.m. This tour will mark Australia's third visit to Pakistan since 2022, with previous tours including a series of Tests, ODIs, and a T20I.
The upcoming series is seen as an important opportunity for both teams to refine their strategies ahead of the World Cup, with Pakistan and Australia placed in separate groups. Sumair Ahmed Syed, COO of the PCB, expressed enthusiasm for the event, describing it as an exciting start to the year for cricket fans in Pakistan. He also noted Australia's familiarity with the Gaddafi Stadium, having played multiple matches there since 2022.
