Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the squads for the Pakistan Women's cricket team ahead of their upcoming tour to South Africa. The team will play both ODI and T20I series starting February 10 in Potchefstroom, with Fatima Sana continuing her role as captain. The tour is part of Pakistan's preparation for the ICC Women's T20I World Cup 2026.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the squads include a mix of experienced players and newcomers. Notably, uncapped players Saira Jabeen and Humna Bilal have been selected for the T20I squad. The ODI squad will see the return of players like Ayesha Zafar and Gull Feroza, who were not part of the ODI World Cup selection. The coaching staff for the tour includes Wahab Riaz as a mentor, supported by Imran Farhat, Umaid Asif, Abdur Rehman, and Abdul Majeed.
The training camp for the series will start on February 1 in Karachi. The T20I series will feature day-night matches across Potchefstroom, Benoni, and Kimberley from February 10 to 16. The ODI series will begin with a warm-up game on February 19 in Kimberley, followed by matches in Bloemfontein, Centurion, and Durban, concluding on March 1. This marks the team's return to South Africa for a bilateral series since January 2021.
