Rawalpindi, In a significant move, the Pakistan Sunni Tehreek (PST) has declared this Friday as the Nationwide Day of Protection of the Belief of the End of Prophethood, aiming to address concerns over the promotion of Qadiani literature and activities in Pakistan. The day will be marked by resolutions condemning what the PST describes as anti-Islam and anti-Pakistan activities of the Qadianis, alongside calls for the Chief Justice to clarify the constitutional status of Qadianis in the country.
According to Pakistan Sunni Tehreek, the head of the organization, Muhammad Shadab Raza Naqshbandi, emphasized that the promotion of Qadiani literature within the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is unconstitutional and expressed concerns over the judiciary’s unusual relaxation towards what he termed a serious crime. Naqshbandi urged the Chief Justice to immediately address and alleviate the ongoing anxiety regarding the constitutional status of Qadianis, who are considered non-Muslims under Sharia law and the Constitution of Pakistan.
The PST leader outlined that unless Qadianis recognize themselves as non-Muslims, they cannot be accorded the rights associated with minority freedom in the country. He stressed the need for strict implementation of the Prohibition of Qadianiyat Ordinance to curb Qadiani activities, which he referred to as “Fitnah.”
Naqshbandi praised the awareness of Pakistan’s Muslim population regarding the protection of the belief in the finality of Prophethood, describing it as commendable. He also warned against the perceived increase in anti-Islamic and anti-Pakistan activities by Qadianis, which he claimed had escalated to a dangerous level, causing widespread anxiety and panic among the faithful.
The PST’s call to action reflects a deep-seated commitment to preserving the belief in the finality of Prophethood as both a religious and constitutional imperative, with Naqshbandi asserting that Pakistan’s Islamists will not retreat from this position under any circumstances.
The Nationwide Day of Protection of the Belief of the End of Prophethood represents a significant mobilization by the PST, aimed at reaffirming the constitutional and Sharia-based status of Qadianis in Pakistan and addressing the challenges posed by what the organization perceives as a growing threat to the country’s Islamic identity and constitutional order.
