Islamabad: A grand sports gala was organized at the Pakistan Sports Complex to celebrate Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day, featuring a wide range of sporting events that drew numerous participants and spectators. The day was highlighted by various competitions, including basketball, football, futsal, volleyball, karate, taekwondo, chess, and hockey, fostering a spirit of national pride and unity.

According to Pakistan Sports Board, the event commenced with the national flag hoisting at Liaquat Gymnasium followed by sports activities throughout the complex. The presence of the Secretary of IPC and the Director General of PSB at the events emphasized the role of sports in uniting the nation.

The community’s enthusiastic response to the Independence Day Sports Fiesta underscored the success of the initiative, which not only celebrated national pride but also promoted health and sportsmanship among attendees, leaving a lasting impression of a well-celebrated national day.
