Karachi, The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) in Karachi’s Eastern District has reaffirmed its commitment to continue the legal battle against those accused of usurping the party’s mandate and to intensify efforts to alleviate the hardships of the populace. This assertion was made by Asif Khan, Deputy Secretary Information and Convener of the Eastern District of PPP, highlighting the party’s dedication to addressing public issues and capitalizing on the significant increase in votes received in the recent elections compared to previous years.
According to Pakistan People’s Party, Asif Khan expressed these sentiments during a meeting aimed at discussing strategies to address public grievances post-election. The meeting saw the participation of Aqraba Fatima, the candidate for Deputy Information Secretary of People’s Youth Organization Sindh for PS 102, along with several party officials including PS 106 President Izhar Hasan Zai, PS 105 President Liaquat Lodhi, and others. The assembly underscored the party’s resolution to tackle the lingering problems of Karachi, attributing the electoral gains to the relentless efforts of its workers.
Khan emphasized the importance of the elections as a means to resolve Karachi’s longstanding issues, praising the vigorous campaign efforts of PPP candidates in the Eastern District. He assured that the party’s legal team is actively contesting the alleged election rigging, with a focus now shifting towards addressing the immediate needs of the community. The PPP plans to maintain close communication with voters and constituents, urging party officials to prepare proposals to address their concerns.
