Pakistan Honors Armed Forces on Youm-e-Tashakkur with Ceremonies at NUMS

Islamabad: The National University of Medical Sciences (NUMS) marked Youm-e-Tashakkur with a heartfelt ceremony to honor the Pakistan Armed Forces for their roles in Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos. The day, declared by the federal government for May 16, 2025, pays tribute to the sacrifices and performances of the military and reinforces national unity and resilience.

The university’s event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by flag hoisting and the national anthem. Special prayers were offered for the martyrs and for the country’s peace and prosperity.

Army, Air Force, and Naval Chiefs, who played key roles in leading their forces with determination, were acknowledged for their leadership. NUMS expressed solidarity with the Armed Forces, recognizing their efforts in safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty.

The ceremony was attended by directors, deans, faculty, staff, and students. In a gesture of national pride, sweets were distributed among participants, closing the event on a note of collective gratitude.
