Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board has announced the team management lineup for the upcoming two-match Test series against South Africa. The series is set to begin on October 12 in Lahore, with the second Test scheduled from October 20 to October 24 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Azhar Mehmood has been appointed as the head coach for the series. The team manager role will be filled by Naveed Akram Cheema. Imran Farhat will serve as the batting coach, with Abdul Rehman taking on the responsibilities of spin bowling coach.
Abdul Majeed has been named the fielding coach, while Cliffe Deacon will perform the duties of the physiotherapist. Talha Butt has been assigned as the performance analyst, and Grant Luden will oversee strength and conditioning.
The media manager for the series is Syed Naeem Gillani, and Irtaza Komail will ensure team security as the team security manager. The team doctor will be Dr. Wajid Ali Rafai, and Mohammad Ehsan will serve as the masseur.
The announcement comes as Pakistan prepares to host the South African cricket team, marking another significant international series in the country. The Pakistan Cricket Board has expressed confidence in the appointed management team to effectively guide the national squad through the series.
