Pakistan Army Triumphs at National Karate Championships

Abbottabad: The Pakistan Army emerged victorious at the 31st National Men’s Karate Championship 2025, clinching eight gold medals. The event, held in Abbottabad, also featured competitions in women’s and cadet and junior categories, bringing together teams from various units affiliated with the Pakistan Karate Federation.

The Army team topped the men’s category with a total of 10 medals, while Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa shared the runner-up position. Wapda secured third place with six silver and one bronze medal.

In the women’s category, Wapda took the winner’s trophy with six gold and four silver medals. The Army team followed as runners-up, and Sindh finished third.

The Cadet and Junior Championship saw the Army once again leading with three gold medals. Wapda and Sindh took the second and third positions, respectively.

Brigadier Zafar Mehmood Abbassi, Commandant of PT School, officiated the closing ceremony, distributing medals and trophies and commending the Pakistan Karate Federation for its role in promoting the sport.
