Lahore: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) unveiled a comprehensive schedule for the 2024-25 men’s home international cricket season, including multiple Test series and an ODI tri-series. This announcement sets the stage for a busy and competitive season leading up to the ICC Champions Trophy 2025.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, The season will commence with Bangladesh playing two Tests in Rawalpindi and Karachi. Pakistan will then host England for three Tests in Multan, Karachi, and Rawalpindi. The West Indies are scheduled to tour for two Tests in Karachi and Multan. Additionally, New Zealand and South Africa will compete in a tri-series in Multan, marking the first ODI tri-series hosted by Pakistan in 21 years.
The international fixtures will also be complemented by an extensive tour schedule, with the Pakistan team visiting Australia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. The tours will include nine ODIs, nine T20Is, and two Tests.
The PCB emphasized the strategic importance of these series in enhancing Pakistan’s international cricket standing and ensuring the sport’s long-term sustainability in the country. The 2024-25 season is not only a platform for showcasing top-tier cricket but also an opportunity for economic growth through increased fan engagement and tourism.
