NTU Marks International Day Against Drug Abuse with Awareness Event

Faisalabad: National Textile University (NTU) commemorated the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking by hosting an awareness event in collaboration with the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF). The gathering focused on educating students, faculty, and staff about the perils of drug abuse and the importance of adopting healthy lifestyles.

According to National Textile University, the event featured speeches by Dr. Jaffar Hussain Mubarak, a noted social activist and volunteer in anti-drug campaigns, and Ms. Nadia Shamim, Assistant Director of Student Affairs. They emphasized the need to engage youth in constructive activities such as sports and co-curricular events to steer them away from drug use. Dr. Zuhaid Ahmad, Convenor of the NTU Health and Blood Donation Society, also played a key role in organizing the event. Dr. Mubarak used his poetry and books to communicate the dangers of drug consumption, and the event concluded with the distribution of certificates, gifts, and books to students as a form of encouragement and recognition of their participation in drug-free activities.
