National U16 One-Day Cup Poised for Exciting Start Across Pakistan

Lahore, The much-anticipated National U16 One-Day Cup for the 2023-24 season is set to commence on February 21, with matches slated to take place in Karachi, Faisalabad, and Lahore. The tournament features 16 regional teams battling it out in a 50-over format, with the teams evenly distributed into three pools.

According to Pakistan Cricket Board, Pool A matches will be hosted in Karachi, while Faisalabad will welcome Pool B teams, and Lahore will be the venue for Pool C games. The pool stage of the tournament is expected to wrap up by February 29, leading up to a Triangular stage in Faisalabad from March 3 to March 7. The championship will culminate in a final match scheduled for March 9 at the Bohranwali Ground in Faisalabad.

The tournament carries a substantial prize pool of PKR 0.93 million. The winning team will take home PKR 0.5 million, and the runners-up will receive PKR 250,000. In addition to the team prizes, individual accolades and cash awards of PKR 30,000 each will be given to the player of the tournament, best batter, best bowler, best wicket-keeper, best fielder, and player of the final match.
