Faisalabad: The National Textile University (NTU) inaugurated its Intra-Departmental Sports for the Department of Textile Engineering (Fabric Manufacturing) on October 10, 2024, at the university’s cricket ground. This event marks a significant highlight in the university’s calendar, promoting sportsmanship and interaction among students specializing in textile engineering.
According to National Textile University, Dr. Syed Talha Ali Hamdani, an associate professor and coordinator of weaving at the School of Engineering and Technology, opened the ceremony. The event was attended by other notable faculty members including Dr. Danish Mahmood Baitab, assistant professor and director of student affairs, and Mr. Faizan Aslam, lecturer and sports coordinator. Lecturers Mr. Hassan Irfan and Mr. Pervaiz Akhtar, as well as Mr. Imran Ali, both serving as sports officers, were also present to support the event.
The opening ceremony sets the stage for a series of competitive activities designed to foster team spirit and healthy competition among students. It also serves as a platform for students to unwind and showcase their talents outside the academic realm.
