NAEAC Delegation Reviews Agricultural Sciences Departments at Punjab University

Lahore, In a significant step towards enhancing the quality of agricultural education, a team from the National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council (NAEAC), led by Chairman Prof Dr Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Sahi, visited three departments of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences at Punjab University. The visit, organized under the auspices of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, aimed to assess and further the academic standards within these departments.

According to University of The Punjab, the delegation was briefed by Prof Dr Muhammad Saleem Haider, Dean of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, on the institution’s efforts to improve agricultural education. Prof Dr Muhammad Shafiq Rana, Director of the Quality Enhancement Cell, outlined the university’s initiatives to ensure the highest standards of education and expressed openness to the delegation’s recommendations for enhancement. The visit included interactions with faculty members and heads of departments who shared insights into the ongoing educational activities and achievements within their respective areas.

The NAEAC team, comprising esteemed members from HEC Islamabad, was introduced to a range of efforts aimed at elevating the educational experience for students within the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences. Prof Dr Shinawar Waseem Ali, Chairman of the Food Sciences Department, acknowledged the council’s support and expressed commitment to continuous improvement following the accreditation process.

The visit underscored the Higher Education Commission’s dedication to advancing higher education, with Prof Dr Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Sahi lauding HEC Chairman Prof Dr Mukhtar Ahmed’s contributions to the sector. The delegation’s meeting with Punjab University Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Khalid Mahmood concluded the visit, emphasizing the university’s pivotal role in fostering academic excellence in agricultural sciences.
