LUMS Celebrates Class of 2026 with Convocation Ceremonies

LAHORE: The Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) celebrated the accomplishments of its Class of 2026 during four convocation ceremonies held over two days. More than 1,500 graduates from various academic disciplines received their degrees, marking the culmination of their academic journeys and personal growth.

According to Lahore University of Management Sciences, the ceremonies were attended by family members, faculty, and senior leadership, including Pro-Chancellor Abdul Razak Dawood, Rector Shahid Hussain, and Vice Chancellor Dr. Ali Cheema. Dr. Cheema emphasized the role of the university in helping students realize their potential and encouraged graduates to carry this purpose forward.

Outstanding academic achievements were recognized, with Ali Abbas Gilani, Ahmad Ashraf, Hiba Humayun, and Maheen Mashhood serving as valedictorians. They shared reflections on their experiences and expressed gratitude to those who supported them.

The ceremonies also featured keynote speeches from prominent figures, including Neha Mankani and Zia Akhter Abbas, who urged graduates to remain curious and embrace humility. Salima Hashmi and Amir Husain inspired the audience to lead with creativity and adaptability. The event marked the graduates' entry into the global LUMS alumni network as they embark on new chapters in their lives.
