Islamabad: LMKT has reaffirmed its commitment to Pakistan’s startup ecosystem by continuing its role as the operator for the National Incubation Centers (NICs) in Karachi and Peshawar, in collaboration with the Ministry of IT and Telecom (MOITT) and Ignite.
According to LMKT, the partnership aims to build on previous successes achieved across its network of incubation centers, including those in Karachi, Peshawar, and Hyderabad. These centers have collectively incubated over 600 startups, generated more than 1 million jobs, and attracted investments totaling over PKR 16 billion, positioning them as leaders in nurturing Pakistan’s burgeoning startup landscape.
Atif Rais Khan, CEO of LMKT, highlighted the company’s ongoing dedication to fostering innovation and driving investments to support and expand the entrepreneurial talents in Pakistan. The initiative also involves partnerships with prominent industry players like YBG, Orbit Startups, Accelerate Prosperity, IM | Sciences, and Sybrid to further enhance the startup ecosystem.
Mr. Ali Sohail Tabba of Lucky Landmark, a consortium member with LMKT in NIC Karachi, emphasized the crucial role of innovation in national prosperity and the importance of developing a dynamic startup environment that can support the growth of future entrepreneurial leaders.
