Lahore Seminar Addresses Smog Pollution Challenges and Solutions

Lahore: A seminar titled "Smog Pollution in Lahore: Causes, Consequences, and Control (From Sampling to Solutions)" was recently organized to address the pressing issue of smog in Lahore. The event was spearheaded by the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization in collaboration with the Faculty of Science and Technology. It provided a platform for experts to discuss scientific approaches and practical solutions to combat smog pollution in the region.

According to University of Central Punjab, the session featured Dr. Haider A. Khwaja, an Associate Professor at the Department of Environmental Health Sciences, University at Albany, USA. Dr. Khwaja, along with Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, is a principal investigator in an ongoing 2023 joint project between UCP and the University at Albany. The seminar brought together notable figures including the Pro-Rector, Dr. Hammad Naveed, Prof. Dr. Hafiza Rizwana Kausar, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akhyar Farrukh, an EPA representative, various heads of departments, faculty members, and students. The seminar concluded with closing remarks delivered by Dr. Hammad Naveed.
