Lahore, The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is set to inaugurate a 20-day Skills Development Camp for young cricketers at the Lahore Country Club in Muridke, starting this Wednesday, February 21, and continuing until March 11. The camp is designed to refine the abilities of 32 players, including top performers from the U16 One-Day Tournament and PCB’s 100 program across the past two seasons.
According to Pakistan Cricket Board, the selected cohort comprises 13 batters, eight spinners, nine pacers, and two wicket-keepers who will be under the tutelage of a well-qualified coaching staff. The camp’s structure is carefully crafted to enhance the players’ skills and prepare them for the transition to higher levels of cricket competition.
Head coach of the National Cricket Academy, Shahid Anwar, stated, “The camp is a critical initiative to aid in the development of young cricketers as they progress from U16 cricket to higher age-group categories. We are focusing on equipping them with the advanced skills and mindset necessary to tackle the challenges of competitive cricket.”
The camp attendees include a diverse group of promising cricketers, with players like Adeel Mushtaq, Ali Hassan Baloch, and Mohammad Zubair among the batters; Adil Waheed and Noor Habib among the spinners; and a strong contingent of pacers like Ali Raza and Mohammad Talha Khanji. Wicket-keepers Hassan Ijaz and Mohammad Ansarullah are also part of the lineup.

Renowned batting consultant Mohammad Yousuf will also make guest appearances to impart his knowledge to the young batsmen.
