KARACHI: The Secretary General of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi, Arslan Khalid, has voiced strong criticism following the tragic incident in Larkana where children died after falling into an open water pit. Khalid labeled the tragedy as evidence of the provincial government's negligence and called for an immediate investigation and accountability.

According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Khalid condemned the local government's handling of infrastructure and resources across Sindh, attributing the incident to systemic corruption and incompetence. He accused the Sindh government of misappropriating funds, neglecting basic infrastructure, and failing to ensure public safety. Khalid further criticized the governance of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in both rural Sindh and Karachi, alleging that the administration has failed to address essential public services, leading to widespread societal challenges.

Khalid also highlighted issues within Karachi, describing the city as deteriorating under PPP's policies, with mounting problems such as inadequate water, electricity, and transportation services. He asserted that the PPP's governance has exacerbated crime rates, hindered employment opportunities, and misused the police for political purposes. PTI, Khalid stated, stands in solidarity with the affected families of Larkana, pledging to advocate for justice and accountability for the tragedy.
