According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the tournament’s recent matches featured significant contributions from individual players that turned the tide for their respective teams. In one of the day’s most commanding displays, Zone-II Whites triumphed over Zone-IIÌ Blues with standout innings from Ali Hasan, who scored 116 runs off 10 fours and 6 sixes, and Mubashir Nawaz, who contributed 101 runs, including 12 fours and a six. Their partnership propelled Zone-II Whites to a substantial total of 340/5 in 45 overs, eventually leading to a 159-run victory.
The tournament also saw Zone-VI Blues overcoming Zone-I Whites in a closely contested match at the KCCA Stadium. Zone-I Whites were bowled out for 117 runs, with Zone-VI Blues chasing down the target with five wickets in hand, thanks to a brisk 81 from Osama Razzaq. In another match at the Naya Nazimabad Ground, Zone-VI Whites set a formidable total of 254/8, which proved too much for Zone-VII Blues, who were all out for 182.
The final match of the day between Zone-II Reds and Zone-IV Reds was a nail-biter, with Zone-II Reds chasing down a target of 251 with four wickets to spare. Muhammad Ali’s 84 runs off 16 fours and Sikandar Hasan’s 52 runs were instrumental in their team’s victory.
