Karachi Blues Triumph Sparks Rs 2.5 Million Reward

Karachi: The Karachi Blues cricket team is set to receive a Rs 2.5 million reward following their triumphant victory in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, according to Nadeem Omar, President of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi. This announcement came during a meeting with the victorious team, where Omar expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the players and support staff.

Omar highlighted the team’s achievement in securing the country’s most prestigious cricket tournament, acknowledging the leadership of head coach Iqbal Imam. Under Imam’s guidance, Karachi teams have clinched the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy twice in two and a half years, marking a significant accomplishment.

In addition to the monetary reward, Omar announced plans to establish the CB Regional Cricket Association Karachi Academy at the Naya AzimAbad ground. The academy aims to address player development for under-17 talents with the assistance of PCB coaches.

A grand ceremony to honor the Karachi Blues players is also in the works. Iqbal Imam, during the gathering, credited the unwavering support from Nadeem Omar for the team’s success, emphasizing the emergence of young talents like Saad Baig, Haroon Arshad, and others who have the potential to elevate the city’s and country’s reputation.

Team manager Syed Muhammad Ahmed Naqvi expressed gratitude for the team’s hard work, attributing their success to the dedication of both players and staff. Naqvi also praised Omar’s leadership, noting his respect for players and coaches.

Alongside the Rs 2.5 million reward, individual cash prizes of Rs 25,000 were awarded to players who excelled in each match. The event also saw the presence of notable figures such as Hassan Omar, Azam Khan, and Faizan Najeeb.
