Faisalabad: The School of Arts and Design at National Textile University commenced its Intra-Departmental Sports event with an opening ceremony on December 9, 2025. The event was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Rashid Masood, Rector of the university, marking the beginning of the sports activities.

The ceremony witnessed attendance from several prominent figures within the university. Among those present were Dr. Zafar Javed, the Dean of the School of Arts and Design, and Mr. Ehsan Ali, a lecturer who also serves as the Sports Coordinator.

Other key attendees included Mr. Waqar Ahmed, Assistant Professor and Deputy Advisor for Sports, and sports officers Mr. Pervaiz Akhtar and Mr. Imran Ali. Faculty members from the School of Arts and Design were also present to support the occasion.

The event sets the stage for a series of sports competitions aimed at promoting physical activity and camaraderie among students.
