Islamic Research Institute Selects 100 Fellows for Postdoctoral Program

Islamabad: The Islamic Research Institute at the International Islamic University Islamabad has successfully convened its 14th Selection and Monitoring Committee meeting for the International Postdoctoral Fellowship Program. The meeting, led by Prof. Dr. Ahmad Shuja Syed, Vice President of Research & Enterprise, focused on reviewing the program's past performance and charting its future course.

According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the committee approved 100 postdoctoral fellows for induction into the program following a selection process characterized by rigor, transparency, and adherence to merit. The meeting featured presentations by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram, Director General of IRI, and Dr. Hafiz Aftab Ahmed, Program Coordinator, who highlighted recent research achievements, ongoing projects, and capacity-building initiatives.

Eminent scholars, including Prof. Dr. Muhammad Khan, Prof. Dr. Mohi-ud-Din Hashmi (participating online), and Dr. Suhel Abdullah Malik, attended the meeting. The committee finalized mentor allocations for the newly selected fellows and confirmed the implementation of previous decisions to maintain academic quality and research excellence.

The meeting underscored IRI's dedication to promoting advanced research, fostering international academic collaboration, and maintaining world-class standards in postdoctoral scholarship.
