Islamia University of Bahawalpur Students Receive E-Bikes in Chief Minister’s Youth Initiative

Lahore: The Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, launched the Chief Minister Youth Initiative E-Bike Program, distributing e-bikes to students from various universities, including a delegation from the Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The event aimed to enhance student mobility sustainably across Punjab.

According to The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Pakistan, the ceremony saw the participation of multiple students from the university. Chief Minister Sharif emphasized the importance of safety measures, including the use of helmets and licenses, during the e-bike handover. The Vice Chancellor of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar, expressed gratitude for the inclusion of their students in this initiative.

Students Samia Ahmed, Hameel Zahid, Asia Manzoor, Hamna Naeem, Hab-e-Muhammad, Usman Ahmed, Muhammad Asadullah, and Rais Muhammad Usman represented the university. They were accompanied by Shahzad Rafiq, Deputy Director IT, who served as the focal person for the event.

This initiative is part of broader efforts to support youth in the province by promoting environmentally friendly transportation options and enhancing accessibility to educational and social opportunities.
