Islamia University of Bahawalpur Champions Chief Minister’s Honhaar Scholarship Program

Bahawalpur: The Islamia University of Bahawalpur has launched an intensive campaign to promote the Honhaar Scholarship Program, initiated by Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, aimed at aiding meritorious but financially challenged students from Punjab in their higher education endeavors.

According to The Islamia University of Bahawalpur Pakistan, the announcement was made by Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal, Chairman of the Admission Committee and Dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences, during his visit to the newly established information desk at Baghdad-ul-Jadeed Campus. The desk is part of a broader effort to make the scholarship program accessible to eligible students across the region.

The Directorate of Financial Assistance at the university has been actively guiding students on how to apply for the scholarships. Prof. Dr. Areeba Khan, Director of Financial Assistants, along with her team, provided detailed briefings to incoming students, outlining the application process and the scholarship’s benefits. The team’s proactive outreach aims to increase application numbers from deserving students throughout the faculties.

Dr. Iqbal expressed optimism about the program’s potential impact on the youth of South Punjab, highlighting the scholarship as a significant step towards alleviating financial barriers to education in the area. The program is seen as a crucial initiative for enhancing student enrollment and supporting the academic aspirations of students in the region.
