IRI Publications Committee Charts Future Course for Academic Publishing

Islamabad: The Publications Committee of the Islamic Research Institute, part of the International Islamic University Islamabad, convened to evaluate its 2025 academic publishing outcomes and strategize for future endeavors. The meeting, chaired by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia ul Haq, took place at the Zafar Ishaq Ansar Board Room.

Key participants included senior academics and administrators such as Ateeq Ur Rehman Chughtai, Dr. Fazalullah, Dr. Mohyuddin Hashmi, Dr. Mohammad Riaz Mehmood, and others from related faculties and departments. The committee’s agenda focused on confirming past decisions, reviewing journal exchanges, and assessing publications from the past year.

The committee evaluated new manuscripts, discussed the status of sold-out titles, considered book distribution policies, and reviewed potential agreements with the Quran Covenant Research Center and the Character Education Foundation.

Commendations were given to the Publications Section for its effective management and contribution to enhancing the reach and standards of IRI’s academic publications. The meeting concluded with recommendations to improve editorial quality and strategic planning, reinforcing IRI’s role in research dissemination.
