Karachi: The IoBM Super League II (ISL ’25), powered by Myco, officially began with a Kit and Trophy Unveiling Ceremony at the CBM Auditorium. The event, held on Saturday, October 19, 2025, gathered university cricket teams, sports enthusiasts, and media partners to mark the start of the tournament.
The ceremony was organized by the Sports Department in collaboration with MARCOM and the Vanquishers Sports Society. It highlighted IoBM’s commitment to promoting university-level cricket. Distinguished guests included Mr. Yahya Hussaini, a senior sports journalist; Advocate Ms. Hana Farhan from Essa Laboratories; and Mr. Nabhan S. Karim, Head of MARCOM at IoBM. Officials from the eight participating universities—IoBM, IBA, FAST, KSBL, SZABIST, Indus University, UIT, and Denning Law School—were also present.
The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a recap video of the first season of ISL. This video served as a reminder of the previous season’s excitement. The unveiling of team kits and the ISL ’25 Trophy further heightened the anticipation for the upcoming matches, scheduled from October 20 to 31 at the Asghar Ali Shah Cricket Stadium in Karachi.
In his address, Mr. Nabhan S. Karim emphasized the importance of sportsmanship and teamwork. He expressed IoBM’s honor in hosting the second edition of ISL and offered his best wishes to the teams. Mr. Yahya Hussaini highlighted cricket’s popularity in Pakistan and expressed hope that participants in the league might one day play at higher levels.
The ceremony concluded with group photographs, capturing the collective enthusiasm of the attendees.
