KARACHI: Internationally renowned pediatric urologists convened in Karachi on Wednesday to discuss congenital urinary disorders, which are prevalent among male infants in developing countries. The three-day event features workshops and interactive discussions.

According to Sindh Institute of Urology and Transplantation (SIUT), the event is organized by its Paediatric Department. Prominent surgeons participating include Dr. Warren T. Snodgrass and Dr. Nicol C. Bush from the United States, Dr. Gianantonio Manzoni from Italy, and Dr. Philip G. Ransley from the United Kingdom. Dr. Snodgrass and Dr. Bush are noted for pioneering significant advances in both short and long-term surgical approaches.

The press release states that Dr. Sajid Sultan of SIUT, who collaborated with Dr. Manzoni, has introduced surgical techniques to the infant population of Pakistan. The workshop will cover a wide range of cases from the Children's Hospital of SIUT. Over 400 surgeons from across Pakistan are expected to attend, aiming to enhance the care of children with hypospadias in Pakistan and other parts of Asia.
