KARACHI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Karachi General Secretary Arsalan Khalid has raised serious concerns over the health of PTI founder Imran Khan and the state of Karachi's infrastructure.

According to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, at a press conference, Khalid disclosed that Imran Khan has lost 85% vision in one eye due to being administered unknown injections at PIMS Hospital. The family and party were reportedly kept in the dark about his condition, which Khalid claims is a violation of court orders and human rights, as outlined by a UN Working Group report. Khalid criticized the government for not providing the same level of care given to Nawaz Sharif in 2019.

Khalid demanded immediate judicial intervention, citing contempt of court for withholding Khan's medical reports. He warned that any deterioration in Khan's health would lead to public protests before the planned September 27 demonstrations, further destabilizing the government.

The PTI leader also condemned the Karachi government's handling of infrastructure projects, particularly the K-IV water supply project, which has received only Rs. 178,000 in funding. Khalid accused the PPP-PMLN alliance of ignoring the city's needs while celebrating the project's approval. He emphasized that Karachi's basic amenities are lacking, despite past promises of prosperity.
