Islamabad: The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has announced the approval of a 15% Disparity Reduction Allowance (DRA) for its employees, as stated by the university’s president, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed. This decision comes amidst ongoing financial challenges at the institution and underscores the university’s commitment to employee welfare.
According to International Islamic University Islamabad, the President emphasized that the allowance reflects the university’s dedication to supporting its staff within the limits of available resources. Recognizing the financial pressures impacting households, he reaffirmed that the welfare and dignity of IIUI’s academic, administrative, and support staff remain a priority.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Saad Alahmed also mentioned that outstanding financial issues will be discussed in the upcoming Finance and Planning meeting. The meeting aims to examine all financial options with prudence and transparency. Additionally, he urged the IIUI community to collaborate in strengthening the university’s financial sustainability by contributing ideas for revenue generation, improving admissions, ensuring financial discipline, and enhancing institutional efficiency.
The President conveyed his belief in the strength found in unity and shared responsibility, expressing confidence that through collective effort, IIUI will continue to overcome challenges while safeguarding the interests of its employees and advancing its mission as a leading educational institution.
