MITHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari inaugurated the NED University-affiliated Thar Institute of Engineering, Science and Technology and the School of Modern Sciences in Tharparkar. The inauguration marks a significant development in the education sector of the region, which is seen as crucial for the advancement of Sindh and Pakistan as a whole.
According to a press release issued by Media Cell Bilawal House, the PPP Chairman described the initiative as a gift from the Sindh government to the people of Tharparkar. He acknowledged the district's loyalty to the Pakistan Peoples Party and its leadership, highlighting the party's efforts in developing the region.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari reiterated the importance of Tharparkar's development to Pakistan's progress and addressed challenges faced by the region. He cited the Thar Coal Project as a key driver of economic and social transformation, contributing to electricity generation and establishing healthcare facilities.
He also mentioned that the NED University campus in Tharparkar was a longstanding demand of the local community, with plans for it to become a full-fledged university. The PPP Chairman emphasized that similar initiatives are ongoing across Sindh, focusing on healthcare and education. He expressed satisfaction with the participation of female students at the new educational institution, aligning with the vision of equal opportunities for women.
The event was attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Provincial Minister for Universities and Boards Muhammad Ismail Rahoo, and other officials and dignitaries from the area.
