IIUI Partners with Green Pura Pakistan Co. for Campus-Wide Waste Management

Islamabad: The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) has entered into a strategic partnership with Green Pura Pakistan Co. Waste Management to establish a comprehensive and efficient waste collection and disposal system on its campus.

This collaboration is a significant advancement in IIUI’s ongoing initiatives to promote environmental responsibility. The agreement aligns with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including Sustainable Cities and Communities, Responsible Consumption and Production, and Life Below Water.

The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Dr. Inaam ul Haq, Director Administration of IIUI, and Mr. Mohsin Raza, CEO of Green Pura Pakistan Co. The signing ceremony was attended by several key university officials, highlighting the importance of the partnership.

Dr. Inaam ul Haq reiterated IIUI’s commitment to sustainability, emphasizing the importance of fostering a culture of responsible waste disposal and recycling within the university. He also announced an upcoming olive plantation campaign, further exemplifying the institution’s dedication to environmental conservation.

Mr. Mohsin Raza expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, noting that collaborating with an academic institution like IIUI enhances the impact of sustainable waste management efforts. He hopes the initiative will yield long-term environmental benefits and serve as an example for other institutions.
