Lahore: Ms. Huma Hassan recently completed her Ph.D. defense at the University of the Punjab, focusing on the neuropsychological deficits of dementia patients and the impact on their caregivers. The defense was held at the Institute of Applied Psychology, where Ms. Hassan presented her dissertation titled “Neuropsychological Deficits of Patients with Dementia and Burden on Caregivers.”
According to University of the Punjab, the dissertation was supervised by Prof. Dr. Najma Najam. Evaluators included Prof. Dr. Shabbir Ahmad Rana from Govt. M.A.O College and Dr. Sarah Shahed from Forman Christian College University, Lahore. The event featured a dynamic question-and-answer session that engaged students and faculty, prompting a deeper discussion on the findings.
Ms. Hassan’s research provides crucial insights into the cognitive challenges faced by dementia patients and the burdens placed on their caregivers.
