Higher Education Department Announces Faculty Transfers Across Punjab


Islamabad: The Higher Education Department of Punjab has issued transfer orders for numerous faculty members across various colleges in the province. These transfers, detailed in the General Round 2024 e-Transfer (Phase-I) Orders, affect positions in subjects ranging from Economics to English, and from Physics to Political Science, aimed at filling vacant posts across several institutions.



According to Higher Education Department – Government of The Punjab, the transfer list includes a total of 65 faculty members who requested reassignment to different colleges. Notable transfers include Amjad Ali Bhatti, an Associate Professor of Economics, moving from Government Islamia Graduate College in Allama Iqbal Town, Lahore, to Government Graduate College in Township, Lahore.



Other significant transfers involve faculty in disciplines such as Chemistry, English, and Computer Science, reflecting a broad reshuffle aimed at optimizing educational resources and faculty placement across the region. The transferred faculty are expected to assume their new duties within seven days, with no transfer grant or travel allowances provided as part of this move.
