Gaza: Muntada Aid has initiated a substantial relief operation in Gaza, distributing freshly made bread to 1,500 residents. This effort is part of a broader initiative that also includes the provision of clean drinking water to over 4,100 individuals and 500 hot meals daily.
The procurement of food and raw materials necessary for these distributions poses significant challenges. The process is not only dangerous but also cost-prohibitive. In Gaza, the expense of a basic meal exceeds £4, starkly contrasting with the cost of feeding Sudanese refugees in Chad, where a nutritious meal can be provided for under £0.50 per person.
Since October 2023, Muntada Aid has extended its support to more than 172,000 people in Gaza, offering food, water, and medical assistance. The organization emphasizes the critical need for continued donations to sustain these ongoing relief efforts.
