Gaza Bread and Water Distribution Highlights Dire Need

Gaza: Muntada Aid has initiated an emergency distribution of freshly made bread to residents in Gaza, currently reaching 1,500 people. This effort is part of a broader initiative that also provides clean drinking water to over 4,100 individuals and 500 hot meals every day.

The organization underscores the challenges faced in procuring food and raw materials, describing the process as cumbersome, dangerous, and costly. The cost disparity is notable, with a basic meal in Gaza exceeding £4, compared to under £0.50 for a nutritious meal for Sudanese refugees in Chad.

Since October 2023, Muntada Aid reports having provided food, water, and medical aid to over 172,000 people in Gaza. The organization appeals for continued donations to sustain these efforts amid the ongoing crisis.
