Forman Christian College Launches ‘Connect Global’ Program with Soliya for Enhanced Cross-Cultural Dialogue

Lahore: Forman Christian College (FCCU) has announced the introduction of the ‘Connect Global’ program, in partnership with Soliya, designed to foster cross-cultural communication and critical thinking among its students. The program offers a limited number of seats (25) and operates on a first-come, first-served basis, targeting current undergraduate students for an 8-week virtual dialogue series starting from October 14, 2024.

According to Forman Christian College, the ‘Connect Global’ initiative will allow participants to join online groups with peers from diverse regions including the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. Each group, consisting of approximately ten students, will engage in weekly two-hour sessions from their own homes, led by two Soliya-trained facilitators. The program aims to address global issues through structured discussions on topics such as family dynamics, cultural traditions, gender roles, and stereotypes.

Participants are required to apply through a specific link by September 2, 2024, to secure a spot in the program. Following the application, students must complete their registration with Soliya between September 6 and September 20, 2024. The full schedule of the Soliya sessions will be communicated to the students by October 9, 2024.

FCCU emphasizes that the program not only enriches participants’ resumes but also equips them with essential skills in critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving. Upon successful completion, participants will receive a certificate from Soliya, acknowledging their involvement and achievements in the program.
