First Lady Aseefa Bhutto Zardari Visits Karachi Mother and Childcare Hospitals

Karachi: The First Lady of Pakistan, Her Excellency Aseefa Bhutto Zardari, visited the Sindh Institute of Child Health and Neonatology’s Mother and Childcare Hospitals in Karachi, accompanied by prominent officials. The visit underscored the government’s commitment to enhancing maternal and child healthcare services in underserved areas.

The First Lady, along with Madam Azra Fazal Pechuho, Minister for Health and Population Welfare, and Barrister Murtaza Wahab, Mayor of Karachi, toured the facilities in Azam Basti and Korangi 5. They were received by Saeed Ghani, President PPP Karachi Division and Provincial Minister of Sindh Local Government.

During the visit, the officials interacted with medical staff and parents of young patients. They commended the healthcare teams for their dedication and acknowledged the Sindh Government’s efforts in providing free healthcare services for neonates, infants, and children.

Aseefa Bhutto Zardari praised the specialized healthcare services offered by the SICHN network. She engaged with families to gather insights on patient experiences and service quality.

The First Lady emphasized the importance of accessible and high-quality neonatal and pediatric care, noting the government’s focus on supporting vulnerable communities across the province. The network includes centers in Karachi, Sukkur, Nawabshah, and Larkana.
