Exhibition of Jimmy Engineer’s Masterpieces Opens in Karachi

Karachi: An exhibition featuring the works of the renowned Pakistani artist Jimmy Engineer was inaugurated at the Ocean Art Gallery in Clifton. The event was led by Muhammad Ahmed Shah, President of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, who was joined by Engineer and artist Shahid Rassam. The showcase includes pieces depicting migration during the partition, historical landmarks, and human psychological themes.

According to a statement by Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, Muhammad Ahmed Shah praised Engineer’s contributions to promoting Pakistan’s image through art. Shah described Engineer as not only an artist but also a humanitarian whose work reflects his family’s engineering background. He highlighted Engineer’s efforts in creating around 1,500 calligraphy pieces and his impact on Pakistan’s cultural presence.

Jimmy Engineer, addressing attendees, expressed gratitude to Shah for his support and efforts in promoting Pakistani culture globally. The exhibition will be open to the public until February 19, 2025. Engineer, whose works are part of collections worldwide, is also recognized for designing stamps, including one for Pakistan’s independence.
