Entrepreneurship Training Event at University of Haripur Focuses on Transforming Ideas into Business Ventures


Haripur: The University of Haripur hosted a one-day training event titled “From Idea to Impact: An Entrepreneurial Journey,” drawing a considerable number of students, faculty, and staff. The event, part of the Youth Entrepreneurship Program, was fully subsidized by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA).



According to The University of Haripur, the training aimed to cultivate an entrepreneurial mindset among participants, focusing on key areas such as idea validation, business model design, and pitching skills. The sessions were led by Subhash Chander, a U.S. State Department alumnus and SMEDA consultant, alongside SMEDA representatives Sohail Jan and Uzair Shehzad.



Dr. Mazhar Rafique, Additional Director of the Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization (ORIC) and Manager of the Business Incubation Center (BIC), coordinated the event, ensuring its successful execution. The Bizz Buzz Society provided support in organizing the event, contributing significantly to its success.



The event concluded with Dr. Mehfooz Ali presenting souvenirs to the resource persons. The Business Incubation Center expressed appreciation for the continued support from SMEDA, the Bizz Buzz Society, and all participants in promoting entrepreneurship at the university.
