Islamabad: The Institute of Professional Development at the International Islamic University Islamabad has concluded a workshop focused on enhancing critical thinking skills among school teachers. Led by Dr. Fouzia Ajmal, the training engaged around 80 participants in activities aimed at transforming classroom challenges into opportunities for growth.
The workshop highlighted the significance of critical questioning, creativity, and reflective practices, connecting these skills to the Islamic concepts of tafakkur and tadabbur. Teachers participated in exercises like “Classroom Challenge Cards” and “Rule/Instructions Transformation,” designed to encourage reevaluation of classroom methods.
Professor Dr. Nadeem Ahmed Sheikh, Director of the Institute, praised Dr. Ajmal’s efforts at the closing ceremony. He emphasized the need for critical thinking as a cornerstone of lifelong learning and innovation, while also underscoring the importance of ongoing professional development.
