Islamabad: The International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) is gearing up for its Annual Sports Gala 2025, which will commence on Monday, April 28, at the Students Activity Centre. The event, overseen by the Directorate of Students’ Affairs (Male Campus), promises a range of competitive sports and activities for students across various faculties.

The opening ceremony will feature Prof. Dr. Abdul Raheman, Vice President (A and F) of IIUI, who will inaugurate the event. With participants from 11 faculties, including Iqra College of Technology, the gala will showcase competitions in cricket, futsal, basketball, badminton, volleyball, table tennis, chess, snooker, tug of war, and a mini marathon.

Events will be held in both indoor and outdoor venues, offering students the opportunity to display their skills in multiple disciplines. The sports gala is an annual tradition aimed at fostering camaraderie and sportsmanship among students.

The two-week event will conclude with a closing ceremony on Monday, May 12. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, President of IIUI, will serve as the Chief Guest for the occasion, marking the end of a series of engaging and competitive activities.
