Chinese Ambassador Meets Pakistani President Amid Regional Tensions

Islamabad: The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, met with President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr to address regional concerns, particularly the situation between Pakistan and India following the Pahalgam incident.

The discussions centered on bilateral relations, with President Zardari voicing concern over India’s recent statements, which he described as threatening to regional peace.

Ambassador Jiang reiterated China’s commitment to its enduring partnership with Pakistan, referring to the two nations as “ironclad brothers” who support each other during challenging times. He emphasized China’s intent to back Pakistan in its pursuit of peace and stability in South Asia.

President Zardari expressed gratitude for China’s steadfast support, acknowledging the critical role it plays in Pakistan’s foreign relations.
