Karachi: The Master Oil Inter Club Cricket Tournament continued with three matches that showcased exceptional performances, including centuries by Saad Alam and Noor Zaman. These matches contributed to the ongoing excitement and competitive spirit of the tournament, which is a collaboration between the Regional Cricket Association Karachi and Master Oil Lubricants.
According to Regional Cricket Association Karachi, the day’s standout performances were at different venues, with Saad Alam scoring 144 runs and Noor Zaman 109, leading their respective teams to significant victories. In the first match, Malir Sports overcame Late Ismail Jaffer CC by four wickets at KCCA Stadium. Late Ismail Jaffer CC posted a score of 180/6, with Abdullah Danish scoring 72 runs. Malir Sports chased down the target with 181/6, thanks to Amir Idrees’s 74 not out.
The second game saw SMS Gymkhana defeating Recreation CC by 139 runs at Eid Gah Ground Nazimabad, where Saad Alam’s 144 off 18 fours and four sixes was the highlight. SMS Gymkhana set a formidable total of 282/6, which Recreation CC could not challenge, collapsing to 144 all out.
In the third match of the day, Sun CC put up a massive score of 316/8, powered by Noor Zaman’s 109 runs, against N.K.Rangers CC, who were all out for just 53 runs at Student Ground. Atta Khan of Sun CC was particularly effective, taking 4 wickets for 17 runs.
The tournament continues to draw attention with high-scoring games and notable individual performances, emphasizing the role of the Regional Cricket Association Karachi in promoting cricket through such competitive platforms.
