Celebrated Poetess Simi Khushtar Launches New Collection at Arts Council of Pakistan

Karachi: Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi hosted the launch of poetess Simi Khushtar’s new poetry collection, “Sada-e-Khushtar,” at Gul Rang Hall. The event, attended by prominent literary figures, was led by Professor Sahar Ansari, who praised the collection for its individuality and courage.

Professor Ansari highlighted the significance of the occasion, noting the commendable efforts of the Arts Council. He lauded Khushtar’s poetry for its reflection of personal experiences and self-respect, acknowledging the work’s maturity as understood by Dr. Ambreen Haseeb Ambar.

Dr. Peerzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui commended the collection for its remarkable poetry, emphasizing its role in continuing literary traditions. He noted the impact of Khushtar’s work on both adults and children, highlighting her ability to communicate complex ideas simply and effectively.

Dr. Ambreen Haseeb Ambar echoed these sentiments, describing Khushtar’s poetry as a reflection of the modern age’s spirit. She appreciated the brevity and simplicity in Khushtar’s work, noting the dual consciousness evident in her verses.

Professor Dr. Moazzam Haider remarked on the emotional depth of Khushtar’s poetry, which he described as a meaningful chronicle of life. He praised the work for its resonance with love and human empathy.

Dr. Danish noted Khushtar’s unwavering conviction, highlighting themes of patriotism and loyalty in her work. Syeda Manal added that Khushtar’s poetry is a valuable addition to Urdu literature.

Simi Khushtar expressed gratitude to the Arts Council and attendees, emphasizing the importance of cultural preservation. She shared her personal journey, crediting her family and Professor Ansari for their support in bringing her collection to fruition.
