Haripur: The University of Haripur, in collaboration with the Migrant Resource Centre (MRC) Pakistan, successfully hosted one of the largest career expos in the region. The event, attended by more than 13,000 students, graduates, job seekers, and community members, featured participation from over 110 companies and organizations.
The career expo was organized jointly by the Migrant Resource Centre Islamabad and the Human Resource Development Cell. Support from the District Youth Office Haripur, Pathways Global Haripur, and Alfalah Asset Management Company played a crucial role in the event’s success.
The opening ceremony featured an address by Prof. Dr. Shafiq ur Rehman, Vice Chancellor of the University of Haripur, who underscored the institution’s commitment to preparing students for global employment standards. He acknowledged the participation of numerous companies and the cooperation of partner organizations.
Mr. Saad ur Rahman Khan, Project Manager at MRC Pakistan, spoke of the center’s role in connecting youth with career and migration pathways. He welcomed the participation of over 120 potential employers and institutions.
Prof. Dr. Latif Ullah Kakakhel, the event’s chief guest, congratulated the organizers for a well-managed event. The ceremony ended with an exchange of commemorative shields between the University of Haripur and the Migrant Resource Centre Islamabad.
The expo attracted more than 9,000 participants, including students, graduates, and job seekers, who engaged with companies and explored employment opportunities. The significant turnout from the local community highlighted the event’s regional importance.
