Peshawar: The Community Appraisal and Motivation Programme (CAMP), in collaboration with the German humanitarian organization Help, has announced a tender for the installation of 65 hand pumps in the flood-affected districts of Charsadda and Nowshera in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. This initiative is part of the broader project aimed at building disaster-resilient communities in the region.
According to Pak NGOs, the tender, officially opened on August 22, 2024, seeks bids from qualified and specialized contractors for the boring and installation of the hand pumps, with 45 to be located in Charsadda and 20 in Nowshera. The process, detailed in the tender documents available by email upon request, requires that technical and financial offers be submitted in separate sealed envelopes by the closure date of September 12, 2024.
The bid submission must adhere to strict guidelines, including delivery to the CAMP office in Peshawar by the specified deadline. Participation is open to general contracting or construction companies registered in Pakistan, either individually or as part of a consortium. Late submissions will be automatically rejected and returned unopened.
This tender marks a critical step in enhancing the infrastructure necessary to support flood resilience in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, addressing the urgent needs of communities repeatedly affected by natural disasters.
