Karachi: Chairman Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of U.S. Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, a pivotal figure and co-chairperson of the Congressional Pakistan Caucus.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party, in a statement shared on the social media platform X, Chairman PPP remarked on the significant impact of Sheila Jackson Lee’s contributions to democracy and human rights, particularly regarding her relationship with Pakistan. “I am deeply saddened to learn about the demise of Sheila Jackson Lee. She had a long-standing association with democracy and the people of Pakistan. Her legacy as a champion of human rights and women’s rights will continue to inspire us. May her soul rest in peace,” stated Zardari.
