KARACHI: Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari addressed the closing ceremony of the National Games 2025 held in Karachi today, expressing pride, confidence, and renewed faith in Pakistan’s future as the national sporting event concluded successfully.
According to a press release from the Media Cell Bilawal House, Bhutto Zardari stated that while the National Games may have ended, the spirit it ignited would continue to inspire unity, discipline, and hope across the country. He extended gratitude to Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, for his presence, describing his leadership as a symbol of national unity.
Bhutto Zardari noted that the Games served as a celebration of Pakistan, uniting athletes from Gilgit-Baltistan to Gwadar under one flag. He emphasized Sindh’s honor in hosting the event, recalling its historical role in Pakistan’s journey and its commitment to national cohesion.
He praised Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Provincial Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Sardar Muhammad Bux Khan Mahar for ensuring the Games’ success. Athletes were lauded as ambassadors of discipline, regardless of medal outcomes.
Addressing national challenges, Bhutto Zardari highlighted Pakistan’s response with unity earlier this year, crediting Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir’s leadership. He urged that this unity should extend into all areas of daily life, envisioning equal opportunities for all children in sports, education, health, and national service.
