Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Anticipates PPP Victory in Upcoming General Elections

QUETTA, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), expressed confidence in his party’s prospects in the upcoming February 8 general elections, predicting that the next Prime Minister and Chief Ministers of provinces will be from PPP. He made this announcement while addressing the public on the occasion of the party’s 56th foundation day in Quetta.

According to Pakistan People’s Party, Zardari detailed the PPP’s plans for governance post-election victory, including the introduction of the Youth Card, Kissan Card, and Mazdoor Card to support the unemployed youth and working classes, similar to the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). He urged the youth to reject divisive politics and embrace a new approach, aligning with the party’s ideology.

Zardari commemorated the political legacies of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, emphasizing their contributions to uniting the nation and steering the country’s politics towards the masses. He highlighted that President Asif Ali Zardari continued this legacy by eschewing revenge politics and focusing on national unity and economic progress, including making Pakistan a wheat, rice, and sugar exporting country.

The PPP Chairman reiterated his party’s commitment to the poor and working classes, contrasting it with other parties’ elite-focused policies. He promised further expansion of the BISP and establishment of youth centers in every district for training and employment.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari emphasized that the PPP’s political approach is not about rivalry with other parties but about combating inflation, unemployment, and poverty. He pledged to direct the country towards inclusive progress and to support the working class directly through new initiatives.

He cited improvements in Sindh’s health sector under PPP governance, particularly highlighting the NICVD as a leading cardiovascular care network. He defended the PPP’s constitutional adherence, criticizing other parties’ attempts to repeal the 18th amendment, which he equated to an effort to centralize resources and undermine provincial autonomy.

Zardari critiqued the PML-N’s economic management and labeled them as a failure in the eyes of the people. He also touched upon the significance of Balochistan, vowing to represent and support the province alongside President Asif Ali Zardari. He concluded by emphasizing the PPP’s commitment to completing projects like the Pak-Iran Gas Pipeline and calling for public support in the upcoming elections.
